Disney Pixar: Soul Trailer – Finally a kid’s movie on existentialism
Updated: Apr 5, 2020
Diverse Cast and a great director
Pixar Disney is coming out with a new movie ‘Soul’ and we have a feeling it’s going to be just awesome. It’s directed by 2-time academy award-winning director Pete Docter and the cast includes Jamie Foxx who voices Joe and Tina Fey voices 22.
The movie soul is set to release on June 19th, 2020.
A genuine and deep message.
The trailer begins with quite an existential question.
What do you want to be known for on Earth?
The story is about the character Joe Gardner, a middle school band teacher, whose real passion is playing jazz. It seems he has been struggling for a long time to make it big which leads him to ask questions such as ‘Why am I here?‘ and ‘what am I meant to do in my life?’
It is at this juncture when, speaking on the phone, he enthusiastically announces ‘I got the gig!‘.
And just when all his dreams are within his reach something unexpected happens to him, and he is transported to a magical place called ‘you seminar’ a place where souls are trained before they are sent into a newborn baby’s body. It is in this place where he meets the quirky and funny ’22’ who believes that the gift of life is not all that fun after all.
Together, they embark on a remarkable journey.
Will they figure out the mysteries and will Joe get to return to Earth and fulfil his dream of becoming a great Jazz musician?
HUMOUR and entertainment for one and all
Soul, I think, is going to be a beautiful, funny and a humorous movie with a deep and meaningful message for kids as well as adults.
